She puts these little quotes in my pockets and boots when I deploy. I’ve found them in my uniform breast pocket, in my socks, combat boots even rolled up in the quilt her mom made me. Walking down the terminal I keep wondering how many of these he can survive, we can survive. It’s the fifth deployment and I think this one is eating him up more than the others. The boys are older now. They are more aware than ever of his absence. Dylan is five and Chase is three. It’s possible this will mark an irrevocable point in their lives. Brandon will miss more this time. He missed Dylan’s first steps, words and tooth. He was here for a lot of Chase’s growing up but there’s so much more to come. I owe the Army MP Corps a lot of credit for guiding me a to recipe for life success. I followed a similar path as this Sqaured Away MP Trooper ! As an E2,6 months outta OSUT,I competed and won FT Monmouth Soldier Qtr winning Post SOY,Got prmoted to E4 by the Post General aftr being an E3 for all of 45 days.. Was shipped to Germany aftr 14 months of Garrison Law Enf Duty at Monmouth which was a dream at 19 for me, I became an MP to gain experience to become a Civilian Cop and was sad to get shipped outta that duty, I believe my Platoon SFC called DOA HQ and spoke to my branch manager,I say that becauae I came w 4 other Pvt's and all of them stayed for 2 years.....»
