i have many friends in the military and im thinking about serving any suggestions?

im currently a high school junior third year of afjrotc and im considering joining the army or air force after high school i like alll the programs and oppertunity the army has to offer but im still a little hesitant about the army because of some videos and news reports of bad army barracks conditions and lying recruiters and thugs but ive seeen change in the army and heard man good stories from soldiers on this website i really wanna do mp or combat medic in the army i have a desire to be a officer ii really would love to lead soldiers and live the army core values more than likely the army will be my choice after high school but any advice from those already...»

i had an ex in the army it was hard for me because he was only home about 2 times a month. then he got deported so we had to stop dating i was only 14 i couldn't handle that.

 Here is my story:   So a friend of mine runs a foundation called troops first foundation.  He says hey can you take a returning vet from Iraq to a Baltimore Ravens football game.  I said sure id be happy too, I had know idea but as it turns out he lost both of his legs to a road side bomb and is now recovering and dealing with the next chapter of his life-A little Pro football would be great for he and his family to escape the recovery efforts he is going threw while rehabing at Walter Reid. im proud to be a jrotc cadet its taught alot but i know the military will teach me more in life im fasinated by the benifits and oppertunity to serve my great county in the army i always fell good when in uniform and em honored to meet service members in uniform i would like to recive  more information from soldiers who have been their were i may be one day hooah!! to all those proud and true soldiers inare great army your doing a heck of a job in the war on terror from what i seeen on tv about whats going on im afghanastan it probly sucks but remeber you guys are army strong come back home soon and thank you for your serve

My very good friend was stationed in Iraq a few years ago and while she was sleeping in her trailer, a terrorist RPG landed next to her trailer and by sheer luck ended up being a dud.  Had it gone off, I would have never seen her again and she would not have gone on to give birth to her beautiful miracle baby girl.

hello folks I was in a local USAR unit for a few years I did my basic and enjoy my unit I was e 4 i drive trucks carried a m16 and was leader of a crew on the 50 cal the face is i did my duty i work in yuma az with the B.P during my time we stayed at MCAS. I got an HD I was going to be deployed but it never happen do to being hurt out side of the USAR Now i;m not looking to get something for free just looking for the VA to see us as VETs in some form or another so that being said I was not active when i went to get my HD papers i went to my local VA for some help and i was told oh you don't count you only where a USAR so i had to go to my local FED REP and they...»

I have lost 3 friends in the last 7 years. We went to high school together and some even since middle school. All 3 were sent to Iraq and never made it home. It's been tough on their families and friends. I hate that they are gone but supported them serving our country. I will continue to be against the war but support those serving 100%
