My name is Suzie York, I live in Crossville, Tennessee...My son is PFC Austin Ratliff, he is an infantryman stationed in Iraq. My son, is the only son I have..He is the oldest of 3 children..I was a single mother for most of his childhood..He experienced a tragedy when he was 10..his father died..At first he rebelled as any child would..but he changed his life around aand joined the Cumberland County Young Marines, in Crossville, Tennessee..Austin has always wanted to b a leader and this organization gave him the encouragement, attitude, self discipline, and all the leadership skills needed to be a successful leader. He graduated high school in May 2009..He left in June 2009 for boot camp, in Fort Benning, Georgia..He came home for a few months before deploying to Iraq. my son is my american hero..he is sacrificing all the things he grew up with and all the priveleges we have here to fight for us all and to make sure we continue to be free in the united states of america..i love my son and i am so proud of him..i am so lucky, to be the mother of, PFC AUSTIN RATLIFF, MY AMERICAN HERO..I LOVE U SON, HOOOOOOOOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
