Rifle PT
December 8, 2010
1SG Riggs decided to break out the Springfields from the armory, weighing in at about 8.5 pounds all everyone was going "This isn't going to be too bad!" But to my understanding everyone saying it wasn't going to be too hard - was a freshman.
I swear to God, we did every exercise in the book in cadence around 100 times, my arms felt like jelly for one day then stiffened up to the point where I could barely move them over my head. But the best part was the motivation - I saw everyone in my company motivating everyone to keep going when they thought they might just give up. I was so . . . 'happy', if you want to put it that way, that no one was trying to show off and everyone was getting along in general. Even COL. Schmotzer was in the back doing rifle PT with us. All in all, one of my favorite PT sessions yet.

Those things sre friggin' heavy. I was shooting mine the other day and a friend and I marveled at how much more accurate they are than an M16 or any other .223.
