Want's to be a MP!!
May 14, 2010
Hello Everybody, My name is Antonio and all I want is to become a Military Police in the regular Army. I would like to be station at Fort Hood,Tx or in Germany but hey it's the Army. I would like to maybe do 20yrs or so or longer as an NCO i'm so excited, I just want to make a life and a career out of it in make a better future for myself and my family. I can't wait until I graduate High School this June 2010. I'm so out of Wisconsin and into the United States Army hopefully as a MP. I tryed in I tryed and I'm not getting anywhere. Alot of my friends and some of my friends keep telling me "Not to Enlist" but only if they understood what I want to do, not what I will do in the near future. They say that I don't want you to go to war but they don't understand why alot of people in American fight for our freedom today. I don't have money for college in at the same time i'm totally not ready to go to college yet. Like I tell my Friends and Familys I did FOUR Years of High School, in i'm not ready for college I just want to have a Army Life for a while in after words I will be ready to go. My biggest dream is to become a U.S.Army soldier by the time i'm Nineteen. Alot of people say I want make it becuase I don't ike to follow orders. It's not that, what so every. It's just I don't no how to pass the ASVAB at all. So if i can pass it I will totally leave in start a future for myself. It seem's like it may not happen!! I'm a police explorer for the Milwaukee Police Department. I enjoy volunteering with them. Thanks alot to all of you who are fightting for my freedom in also American Freedom!!!! Also thanks for taking the time to read this..

Jun 15, 2010 10:55 PMI would love to be a 68 whiskey (medic) or anything in the medical field, thats where my passion is. During BCT and AIT, when you at FT Leonard wood its the land of the MP's and its a big ol hoopla, and I really enjoyed the friendships and bonds I created there but to be honest my reserve unit was a joke, Active duty is the way to go and Im looking forward to it. Look me up on facebook, its easier to message me there. unbreakable_star24@yahoo.com

Mar 24, 2011 10:11 PMI read your story bro, and i am in the same boat as you are!! I took the ASQT twice failed both times but the 2nd time i raised my score 7 points, and missing the enlistment qualification score by 9 points. I want the army so bad!! I am 28, newlywed, and making minimum wage dude; i want to enlist to give back, protect my family and our nation. I did not finish high school, i have been out of school 7 to 8 yrs. then i finally went to a CC in 05 and graduated in 09 with my AS with a law enforcement emphasis. My point is that life throws you curve balls and you can't give up.

Jun 20, 2010 12:24 AMHey bud glad to read your story that is also my dream! i graduated in 2008 and i had my head high and ready! but then i had to take the asvab, i took it and failed dont ask me why but i failed it, i was real upset with myself and i kept blowing studying off because i didnt want to fail again. So in Dec. 2009 i made an oath to myself that it was time to start my 20+ years career and i had a date that i was going to go retake my test and that was Jan 21 2010, finally when the day came i passed with a 46 best day ever then after 2 weeks of getting my packet sent up to MEPS i get a phone call saying the test admin gave me the same test i took in 2008 and they VOIDED my asvab saying i had to wait 6 months to retake. So then me and my recruiter talked to the test admin and he really did give me the wrong test so then i had to wait for a letter from MEPS stating i was ready for a new test ASAP so now the new test date was Feb 9 2010 and yes by the skin of my teeth i pass with a 36 lower then the first one, which i didnt really care because i was shooting for a 31 because i want to do infantry (11b) so after everything was fixed i got a MEP date for the 18th and 19th of feb. i get to MEPS and make it all the way through and they find a Hernia which i didnt know i had! so then they told me i was disquailfed and i asked the doctor at MEPS how long the wait is until i can come back to Swear in and he said if i get cut open its 3 months and if i get the lipascopic its a 2 month wait. After leaving MEPS a couple weeks later i went to the doctor and go a surgery date for April 1 2010 and the doctor would only do the cut open surgery so i said okay.. 3 months i can do this. Well 2 days after the surgery was done i went back to my recruiter and sent paper work back to MEPS for my count down and here is the bad news... they now told me the wait would be 6 months from the surgery date instead of 3, and now i have almost 3 months to go and i get to Swear in on OCT 1st 2010, im so stoked and wish time would FLYYY by, but by then i have gone through a tough 10 months trying to give my life to the U.s ARMY.. lol but good luck and i hope you get there! i know i will! :)

Jul 22, 2010 3:34 PMHey man, study a hell of a lot. Personally I didn't study and I scored an 84. It's a redneck thing I suppose haha. I grew up around construction and worked with mechanics and I'm pretty inteligent so i'm told. But all I can say man is good luck in the Army. I leave in Sept. for basic at Fort Jackson. Possibly see some of yall there. I signed up for 89D EOD.

Apr 1, 2011 5:33 PMGood job man keep up the commitment, stuff in the army can be difficult but with enough determination you can do exactly what you want! keep at it man, good luck with everything but let me tell you itll be worth every bit of effort, you will be doing things you never thought you could do! i never thought i'd be protecting my country by blowing crap up as a 13F! even as an MP, the civilian world just doesnt offer as much as the military! interestingly enough tho im considering reclassing as an MP myself, it looks very interesting!

The ASVAB book you should get is called "Your Total ASVAB Solution". It has over 500 pages with a diagnostic test and multiple practice tests. The book costs $26.95. It's not cheap but it will tell you everything you need to know to score high on the ASVAB. It even breaks down each section of the ASVAB for you and give you examples. The book has an American flag on the cover and says 7th Edition in the top right corner. I'm using this book to study for the ASVAB and I myself want to be either MP or infantry in the reserves until i finish college, but mainly MP. Good Luck bro, I know you'll do well and make it far in the U.S. Army. OOO-RAHHHH!!!

Jul 30, 2011 9:00 AMTo help you with your ASVAB, here are errors you made in your post:
Capital E in Everybody
Comma right after
need a comma between "Antonio" and "and"
Station ---> stationed
Tx ---> TX
Period after NCO
i'm ---> I'm
in make ---> to make
comma before hopefully
a MP ----> an MP
tryed ----> tried
Alot ---> a lot
in at the same... ----> AND at the same (also, a comma before it)
familys?, also a comma after it
becuase ---> because
fightting ---> fighting
Some other stuff. I don't want to get too deep.
