Army Story

  • What the Military Does for People

    November 8, 2010

Being in the military and being a leader provided so many opportunities for me. I was able to translate all of this great training and experience to my civilian employment. This has meant that I have been ahead of civilians because I have been trained by the best and I have skills that civilians do not gain in the civilian world.

I have been able to pass on the great life lessons to my students that I work with and help them also excel in life. I constantly inform my students of the things that I have been able to do in my life because of being a soldier.

My daddy instilled a huge sense of patriotism in me as a child. He always told me stories about his service in Germany and his best friend that he met while he was an MP. That man is still a friend of our family even though that was half a country away and 65 years gone by!

I am Army. There is no other way to say it.
