  i want to join the army. a lot of my friends say that women dont go to combat? how long are you required to be in the army?

  I have already enlisted. I am leaving for training in a month. Allison your friends are right about women not being able to go combat. The length of enlistment depends on your MOS, but usually its 2 to 6 years for your first contract.

  Since I was a little girl I wanted to be in the military because my dad would always tell me his combat stories :) I'm now far away from him and I realized that I still do want to be in the military. I've been researching about it so let's see if I can make it!
