• Why I Decided to Become Army Strong

   I was just finishing up my 5th year of college, working on a degree in Geography, and I still didn't feel like I was getting any closer to graduation & that degree. I wanted to take some time off but I didn't want to just continue working at the grocery store that I had been working at for the past 5 years. I wanted to do something that would guarantee me a great job, benefits, money for school, & most importantly, allow me to finally do something that would make me feel accomplished & proud of myself. When I first told people that I wanted to join the Army they were kind of surprised. I don't think they thought I would ever do something like this. But, in a way, that makes it more exciting. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone & doing something to grow & become a stronger & more disciplined. I leave for basic training in October & I could not be more excited!!! I can't wait to become ARMY STRONG!!! HOOAH!!
