Hispanic Heritage Month in San Juan, Puerto Rico!

October 20, 2011

Greeings! I am writing to update everyone on the event the army was able to coordinate in San Juan, Puerto Rico!  The event was held on October 13th, 2011 in the Condado Plaza.  The purpose was to recognize past, present and future Puerto Rican soldiers.  The event was great and featured reception, dinner and great speech from keynote Speaker Retired Major General Felix A. Santoni, current Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Puerto Rico.  Also in attendance were leaders from the Puerto Rican Army Reserve, National Guard, West Point, and other future soldiers and civilian friends of the Army.  The event helped remind the local community of the great soldiers they have serving in the army.  West Point was glad to support as well! HOOAH!
