The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps Welcomes New Commander

On 7 June 2010, Chief Warrant Officer Frederick Ellwein became the 4th Commander of The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.  Chief Warrant Officer Gregory Balvanz, the fife and drum corps out-going Commander, relinquished command to an audience of friends, family and members of the military community.

 

CW4 Ellwein’s most recent assignment was the Army Material Command Band located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.  He joins the fife and drum corps family with his wife, SGM Dianne Ellwein, and his children, Tyler, Kaitlin and Austin.
