Charity and A Car Show
June 7, 2010
Hello, I trust everyone had a great weekend. I did. My wife and I went to a car show over the weekend to do a benefit car show sponsored by the South Texas Mustang Club for the Iraq Star Foundation (please take a look at the link - these folks are doing some great stuff for our troops that have been wounded).

It was a really good car show, over 60 cars, trucks and motorcycles. It was at the Gruene Harley Davidson dealership and overall was a really well done car show. I am not sure how much was raised by the show for the Iraq Star Foundation but every little bit helps.
I was very fortunate, I was awarded 1st Place in the Truck Custom/Modified Class. Of course I have to thank TJ (from Custom Jeeps and More http://http://www.customjeepsandmore.com/ ) for all the work he did with me to get this project going.

Most people that see my Jeep think it is HUGE, well for a Jeep it is pretty good sized, especially now with the 35" tires, but he guy next to me had the $100K duelly with 54" tires (never going that big - too much to take care of and I could never off-road it) that thing was truly huge!! Pretty cool paint job and some nice extras.

Now the funniest thing I saw was when my wife saw this guy in his truck, empty out the bed of the truck with a bunch of aluminum cans, then he drove back and forth over them got back out and re-bagged them all. Not sure if the money he would make would be worth the gas and time, but hey I suppose it is a method. Maybe that is how he bought the truck?

That is all the big news for this past weekend, have a great week.
Thanks for reading.
