So another TDY trip is in the works.  The annual PANAMAX event is here again and I am off to Norfolk, VA to participate in the Joint Task Force Academics and the 2nd Fleets Crisis Action Planning (CAP) for 2 weeks. 

This year ARMYSOUTH is not the primary training audience so we are mainly going to assist the 2nd fleet since this year it is the primary training event for their staff.  The advantage for me is that the 2nd Fleet and the USN do not have Civil Affairs capability at the Joint Level and at any level below the level of say an Army size BDE unit they have very very limited tactical assets only.

Bottom line is they have almost no capability for a country wide capability that is organic so we have these joint exercises to ensure proper integration of all of the services capabilities.

The only part I am not looking forward to is the uniform for the events - Class Bs, what a bummer, they are uncomfortable and hot.  Oh well such is life when dealing with the Navy.
