Too Many things going on
August 30, 2009
The last few weeks have been quite hectic. Preparation for the PANAMAX 09 exercise has taken up a great deal of my work time and about half of the office is either TDY or on other duties. We had the JTF Academics (which is a preparation phse for the exercise) all of this past week, even though it was in town, with all of the principal players here, including all of the other nations that are playing in the ecercise, it was just nuts the hours and time it took to get it all done. Partially because my section was in charge of running the event at 1/2 staffing. But its overwith and it is on to the next part of the exercise.
On a better note, I completed the entire kitchen with granate counter tops, looks awesome and my wife is soo happy you would think I bought her a 10k diamond. I was a bit scared at first since I know that natural stone can be very brittle and this stuff is heavy, but after the first cut I was off to the races and had the whole project done in 2 nights of prep and 2 days of installation. I figure it saved us about 3K doing it ourselves.
My son started football this past week, and school so we are back to a routine that does not include him sitting in front of the TV on the x-box for most of the day.
My wife and I had our anniversary this month, we had a great weekend, nice dinner and exchanged gifts. She got me totally awesome Ed Hardy watch and I got her the second band to her wedding ring that she wanted. More importantly, we had the chance to spend our first anniversary together. Since it was our first it was pretty important.
On the jeep side of the house, the body goes to paint first this in the morning. FINALLY. If I am lucky it will be back by Wed or Thr and it can start getting reassembled. Maybe I can be on the road with all testing and bugs worked out by the end of the month.
