Leadership Excellence Applied Daily (LEAD) is a benchmark leadership playbook publication created by two Air Force cadets – Justin Franklin and Nate Curl – myself, and our sponsor – Anthony “Roby” Roberson. LEAD was sent out to over 30 business executives in Boston Scientific CRV Sales. It included articles on leadership styles and theory, leadership in the medical device industry, a great focus on negotiation, and leadership profiles for each of the executives. While creating this publication, we met with the CRV Sales senior vice president, one of the vice presidents, and several of the directors which was a great opportunity. In creating the leadership profiles for each of the executives, we were able to gain some valuable experience from what these executives had to share. The leadership lessons they imparted are too numerous to put in this blog post, but suffice to say they were valuable. In addition to this, I was able to apply negotiation skills and knowledge in helping create the section on negotiation. Since negotiation was the purpose of my AIAD, I was very glad to be able to share some of my experience and also learn about business negotiations from Boston Scientific.
