My name is SSG Flores-Torres, Beatriz, I am native from Puerto Rico where I decided to join the Army during my third year of college.  I joined the Army in May 2003 as a Power Generation Equipment Repairer, and was assigned to Ft Bragg NC in June 2004. While assigned to 32nd MED LOG, I deployed to Iraq from 2004-2005, 2006-2007 in support of OIF.  In 2008, I was selected by the Department of the Army for special assignment as a Recruiter.  In my short career in the Army I was able to move thru the ranks very quickly from E-1 to E-6 in 5 years, and with great success.  I have been honored from work performance to being selected from my Brigade for an Army advertising campaign in Puerto Rico.  Looking back this last 7 years and the reasons why I joined the Army, had made me realized that it has been the best decision in my life.  I have met wonderful leaders and soldiers and lived thru great and not so great moments, even thru the bad moments I still Love the Army, what we stand for and what we do.
