    One of the best parts of my trip to South Korea with CULP has been the people I have been able to meet. The Korean people have a different way of thinking and its interesting when one starts to notice the differences and discover why.   • Korea CULP 2011 - DMZ

    So far we have been able to see several different landmarks in South Korea. One of the most memorable however was the Demilitarized Zone on the border of North and South Korea. To see all the barbwire, security, and emplacements set up to guard this small stretch of land emphasized the tension between the two countries.     On our trip to Korea we were also given the opportunity to stay with a fellow ROTC cadet from the Korean Army. I can definitely say that it was one of the most memorable parts of my trip and also one of the more educational times. By staying with him for a night and two days I was able to see more into the life of a normal Korean family.
