About Me: CDT Carlos Colon Rivera enlisted on the US Army Reserve as Private on March 18, 2003. He went to basic training at Fort. Sill, Oklahoma and completed his Advance Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia. PVT Colon was assigned to the 268th Cargo Transfer Company at Fort. Buchanan, PR, where he serve as a Cargo Specialist.
On May 30, 2004, SPC Colon was mobilized with the 268th CTC DET 1 to Afghanistan in support to Operation Enduring Freedom. After coming back from Afghanistan, Colon was promoted to SGT. Later he went to Ft. Allen at Juana Diaz, PR to complete the Warrior Leadership Course.
Then on August, 2005 he started university studies at InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. He studied Computer Engineering. Later he managed to finish his minor in Pure Mathematics.
During January 2, 2008, SGT Colon deployed with the 268th CTC DET 2 to Afghanistan in his second tour. He keeps studying while deployed and leaded soldiers as NCOIC of the ECP-3.
Then he joins the ROTC.
