Taino Warriors celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month

Cadets from the Rio Piedras ROTC went to the Conrad Hotel at San Juan, PR in celebration to the Hispanic Heritage month. During this event in honor to MG Felix Santoni (Retired), he discussed the importance of Hispanic troops in the military force and their contributions to the United States Nation. The event had the accompaniment of music from the 248th Army Band from the Puerto Rico National Guard and the outstanding participation of the Military Academy of Junior ROTC in the Color Guard.


In addition in this event a group of soldiers and cadets were recognized as well to future soldiers that enlisted in the Armed Forces. Some of the distinguish awardees were; Pedro Muñoz former Golden Knight, Cadet Algarin and Cadet Carrasquillo.


Moreover very important figures assisted to this event; BG Fernando Fernandez (1st MSC Commander), MG Vicens (Adjuntant General of the Puerto Rico National Guard), General Alex Gonzalez, Colonel Ortega (Master of Ceremony), Jorge Mas (Veterans Ombudsman), Senator Lucy Arce and others.
