    I finally got out to play with the Pentagon Soccer club at lunch last week. Great bunch of guys with some talented players as well. We have a nice turf-like field one Metro stop down from the Pentagon. We play at lunch and also play matches against local military teams, foreign and U.S. Will try and get some phots and/or videos up from this week's pick-up game.

    Don't forget the deadline for sending troops cards and care packages for the holidays is quickly coming up. "Hanukkah, for example, begins Dec. 1 this year, so he said gifts should be in the mail by Oct. 19.     Very, very detailed book by Sebastian Junger as he embeds with a platoon in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan. An extremely dangerous area with small, remote outposts and heavy casualties. I got the chance to fly over the area and travel in Jalalabad. The Korengal has a very, beautiful geography to it.
