And now they are gone.

Well the transition is over. The 101ST GUYS HAVE GONE HOME. When a deploying unit replacesa the current deployed unit it has to learn the area of operations(AO) and the way that unit ran things... the patrols, tatical operation center (TOC), guard, and anything else we do. First we have to learn the way they do it, and then after they leave we can change it... and believe me we are. Cleaning things up, fixing the random things wrong with the amenaties, building new gaurd towers, changing the way way we patrol and such.
Life here is pretty decent. Yeah we wake up early, go out on patrol, hike up and down mountains, and can run in to the enemy, but so far we havnt had to worry about much happining here on the COP. When we get back from patrol we usually work on fixing things up around here. Latest projects have been building a new gaurd tower, fixing the bathroom (which worked before they started to fix it then we had no showers for a day or two), cleaning things up alot, moving the gym, and building things up the way we want them. After we are done screwing around with that crap we get to relax, check email, male phone calls, play video games, watch movies, sleep, work out in the gym, really whatever we want to do to relax and wind down. But, trust me sometimes missions take every last oompf of energy we have and everyone is crashed out as soon as we can.
