This past week I had the honor of participating in the SHPE event which stands for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. There was a great TEAM effort throughout the Army family which made this SHPE event extremely successful. The biggest takeaway for me is that this event reinforced all the opportunities’ that are available to our Soldiers when their term of service ends. These employers are excited about the “pool” of military talent needed to make their own organizations successful! Several recruiters from Fortune 500 companies told me of their organization's desire to recruit Army Enlisted and Officers because of our ability to solve problems, manage and maintain equipment, and LEAD! They have concluded that military veterans are task orientated and know about accomplishing the mission! Hearing all this positive feedback made me proud to be a part of the Army family! GO ARMY!!!
