I have been in the Army for 10 years and I have attained the rank of SSG. I have been given many opportunities for training. I have been trained for two Military Occupational Specialties; Mental Health Specialist and HUMINT. I have also been to several leadership courses. I have also had the time to advance my civilian education by using tuition assistance. I have obtained three associates degrees. Right now, I am working towards finishing my bachelors degree by participating in the Army's Green to Gold Program. I am still on active duty but have been given 21 months to complete my degree while participating in ROTC. The Post 9-11 GI Bill is paying for my tuition. Since being in ROTC, I have enhanced my leadership skills and my tactical skills. I am glad to be able to be an officer soon.
