Last Sunday I returned from a trip to the wondrous world of Tanzania. I spent a week at their military academy for an exchange program (Foreign Academy Exchange Program -FAEP). West Point sends two cadets to each military academy in 28 countries for our Spring Break and then all of those schools will send two of their cadets back here for a week. About Me:
I am a senior at the Academy in company H1. I am currently in charge of the Protestant Sunday School Teachers and the EMT Detachment. I came to the Academy after two years of civilian college and a year at the Prep school. I have been very fortunate to travel quite a bit since coming to the Academy. My first year at the school sent me to earn my Advanced SCUBA certification. My second summer I was sent to do a cultural immersion trip in Brazil. Then I earned my EMT-Basic certification at West Point. Spring Break of my junior year I was able to participate in the Foreign Academy Exchange program to Portugal. Last summer I was sent to Germany, Belgium, and France with the History Department to tour WWII battlefields for 3 weeks. After that I was sent to The Gambia, Africa for 7 weeks to do humanitarian missions. I am currently heading to Tanzania to spend a week exchange at their military academy.
