I have uploaded some videos for your viewing pleasure...

First is a video that CDT Dave Horn captured underwater while diving in Sharm el-Sheikh.  The marine life and corral were unbelieveable:

Second is a video CDT Dave Horn captured of an octopus during our night dive:

Third is a video of CDT Horn riding a camel around the pyramids of Giza in Cairo:

Sir, My name is Akash Desai, and I am a 16 year old junior at Lenape High School. I've talked to the admission office about admissions through email. I learned the requirements. I always wanted to attend West Point, it is my dream college. The problem is that my 19th and 10th grade I gotten few c's on my transcript, 1st marking period of 11th grade I got b's and c's. This year I am taking AP US History, AP World History, and AP Psychology. I am working very hard on the SAT. I also did JROTC during my 9th grade. During 10th grade I did mock trial and latin club. I do no sports, and right now I have 1 letter of recommendation, but I can get more. I am average on my physical, but I can improve The reason I am telling you this is that you were very honest in your interview on fox news. If I get straight A's from now completely, raise my GPA through AP classes, and score tremondously on my SAT. Will I be able to make it to the academy. Please sir, I need your tips, and I hope I'm not boring you.

hey Akash, great to hear your interested in West Point. The best advice I can give you is to forget your past grades and do your best to improve your current and future grades. You can't change those C's, so brush them off and keep getting A's like you've been doing and keep taking AP courses. I was told a B in an AP/Honors course is better in West Point's eyes than an A in a regular class. However, an A in an AP/Honors class is of course ideal. Take the SAT/ACT as many times as you can b/c West Point doesn't take your highest overall score, they take your best score in each section so it's to your benefit to improve your resume by taking those tests as often as you can. Also, keep in mind that West Point is more than just a top tier academic institution, it's also a school of leaders and athletes, so I would do my best to seek out more leadership roles in the clubs you're already in and seek out more around your community. Definitely join more sports as well. Not doing sports will really hurt your application packet. Do your best in those sports to letter and even try to be a captain if possible. Also, volunteer a lot in your community, that helps a lot with your packet. It's a pretty straight forward process to get into West Point, there's nothing tricky about it. Just get the best grades you can, play as many sports as you can, be a leader in your school and community, and volunteer your free time. If you do all those and show you're well-rounded, acceptance will be a guarantee. Good luck, I wish you all the best, and stay motivated!
