2011 SKILLS USA, Kansas City, Missouri
June 26, 2011
Hello again…The lastest trip with some of the Drill Sergeants on the Exhibitor Program was to Kansas City, Missouri to participate in Skills USA. Here’s a little rundown on what this organization is. Skills USA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Skills USA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations and for further education. More than 300,000 students and advisors join Skills USA annually, organized into more than 17,000 sections and 54 state and territorial associations. I had a blast as always at this event. I had the chance to meet/talk to students, advisors and teachers from all over the country…they also had some pushups and pull-ups counted by the Drill Sergeants in the Army Strong display. All in all is was a great event. Until next trip…ARMY STRONG!!
