Indiana

Hello again, another Drill Sergeant Exhibitor Program trip complete. This trip I went to Indiana. The first couple of days were spent at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to support with Emerging Technologies. Also there was the Army action trailer which had the cool Xbox full of games. Army Strong setup was for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a well spent day. I had the chance of riding in an awesome car at about 120 mph on the track, of course with a qualified driver. That was the highlight of my day. Sunday was a bit nasty with rain and more rain. Once I was complete with that mission I went up north with a fellow Drill Sergeant to visit some high schools in the Portage, Elkhart and South Bend area. That week was filled with some question and answer to include PRT (Physical Readiness Training). Our week was complete with our participation in the inaugural Northern Indiana Regional Football Combine at School Field in South Bend. The complimentary event, designed to expose players to college scouts, was open to all area high school football players. Scouts from about 70 Division III, NAIA and junior colleges were also there to watch players participate in a variety of drills. Some well known celebrities showed to include Bob Chmiel of the National Collegiate Scouting Association and former Notre Dame Walk-on Rudy Ruettiger whom delivered a speech. Well, this pretty much sums up the trip. Until next trip “ARMY STRONG”
