Hello Army Strong readers and leaders!

It has been a long time since I have written a post for my blog, but I am going to be better over the next month for sure! 

Since I have been gone for so long allow me to introduce myself again. I am Francesca Welsh, a 3rd year cadet at Texas State University. I am 20 years old and I go to school full time. I am an intern for the San Marcos City Hall Councilmen/Mayor, I am a freelance reporter for the San Marcos Daily Record, I volunteer from time to time at the local VFW, and am on the Executive Board for Club Blue (a program that helps the underprivileged youth of the community). Oh, and a lot less important, I model and promote establishments in South Central Texas.  

Currently, I am studying for finals. I have three left over the course of the next two weeks; International Studies (Political Science), Physics, and Fine Art. In the past three days, I believe that I have slept a grand total of 8 hours, but everyone makes sacrifices for the important things. However, due to the lack of sleep, this post will be rather short and poorly written. My apologies.  

Starting on 14 December, I will be off of school for holiday for an entire month! During this time I will post quite frequently! I plan to be in Texas (multiple cities) for majority of my break, but I will also be spending 9 days on the high seas on a cruise. This will prove to be the highlight of my vacation, I love to meet new people.

Also, I have been trying my luck at various mass media outlets. I tried it in my battalion as a way of disseminating information and it proved very useful and efficient (probably due to the 'technology age' in today's generation). In addition, I urge you to try different ways to communicate with your troops, the results are interesting.
