Today the NAACP convention in Kansas City Missouri started with a special guest.  The First lady, Michelle Obama, addressed a crowd of NAACP members. Tonight, the NAACP will host the President's and CEO's reception, at the Midland Theatre, in the Kansas City Power and Light District. The reception will include several VIPs from the Army and Department of Defense civilians.
