Feb 18, 2012 3:56 PMI know this is and old post, but i have a serious question. Have you always been Army Reserves? secondly, if you wanted to become an active duty officer right now, how would you go about doing so? I'd really appreciate you answering these questions once you find the moment. Thanks a lot for even being a faithful blogger. Your story is very inspiring.

Feb 21, 2012 10:15 AMJaquelin, thank you for your comment! Yes, I have always been in the Reserve. I enlisted back in the middle college and wanted to finish my degree and not go active duty. The Reserve fit my lifestyle. If you want to become an active duty officer, speak with a recruiter. They can transfer you from the Reserve or Guard to AD. You can also join ROTC in school and go AD when you graduate and become a LT. I hope that helps some!
