Number one reason why I look forward to graduation and moving: better weather.

I awoke and did my usual routine of checking my school email account.  What’s this?  An email from one of my professors canceling class because of the extreme cold! This lovely announcement did very little for my mood; I still had to go to other classes and a meeting.  “How cold is it?” I thought.  A quick click of the mouse and I am informed that it is *insert drum roll* -23 degrees, NEGATIVE 23 DEGREES! 

The 15 minute walk from my designated commuter student parking lot on the edge of campus to class proved to be painful.  I cursed under my breath for most of the way. 

Whatever happened to the simple days when I was in high school and class was canceled?  Sometimes being a college student sucks; or maybe living in a state where it has to be -40 out before class is canceled is the real kicker.  That last half of the previous sentence is so sad and pathetic; I can’t believe I just wrote that.
Forgive me for not writing more, I need to go thaw out.
