The Hunt for the Hooah: Let's Task Some Scouts to Find It

August 18, 2010

What I have learned today:

1) Guys actually watch shows like "Say Yes to the Dress" and "The Real Housewives of New Jersey"

2) 80% of everything I'm told is deemed "notional"

3) INA stand for "Is Not Assessed" NOT "Iowa Newspaper Association"

4) Power Point is the bane of my existence along with I-45 from The Woodlands to my house in downtown Houston.  I hate them both.

5) AKO is pointless and I'm giving up sending myself anything bigger than a one page word document.

6) The vast majority of all vocabulary definitions in the Army contain the word which they are trying to describe. Look up "Counter-reconnaissance" and the Army tells me it means to counter the enemy's reconnaissance. Brilliant.

7) Fort Huachuca has a Starbucks! I love my Strawberry-Banana protein smoothies.

8) To all MIBOLC students, your first name is not "Lieutenant" so do not answer this to a superior officer.

9) Spending hours on your travel voucher pays off! Mine did not get kicked back!!! Yes!

10) Cadre cannot give you a straight answer on what a PIR means. One tells me mine are too general, the other tells me they're too specific. I think I just need a nap.
