We are going into our final two weeks here at Google. It has been a great experience thus far. We have met many tremendous people and continue to learn about the future of technology and its applications in the military. We are making great head-way on our two projects and will present them at the end of next week with our managers and a few executive sponsors. Our project is to design a proposal to bring Google Apps back to West Point. Hopefully West Point will consider making the transition. I have found that Google Apps is really easy to use and could benefit the Academy a great deal. Other than working on our proposal, we are also reaching out to veteran support groups at other corporations to see how we can improve the veterans network at Google.
We have taken advantage of the opportunity to meet several successful business leaders. Having done this, we are able to learn tidbits about leadership from each one of them. We have learned what it takes to be successful in a civilian corporation, which carries a lot of similarities with success in the military. Google has provided great exposure to different leadership styles and ways of conducting business. It has been a great experience for us out here.
