This week i'm traveling with the Army Drag car that is driven by Tony Schumacher.  We've been to a few area high schools and were at IUPUI today in downtown Indy.  It has been a good time interacting with local students and answering questions.  Apparently, I don't look that mean in my DS hat.  That's what i've been told anyways.

Definitely enjoyed the high school visit to Warren Central.  All the talk about America's Youth being so out of shape didn't seem true during our push up contests there. 

This weekend should be long hours but fulfilling.  Hoping to meet SMA Preston and a lot of people to share my story with.  Being a Drill Sergeant on FT. Benning is a rewarding job, but I can't complain when I'm spending my weekends at an NHRA event!  I'm going to post some pics of the week in a day or two, and as always definitely here to answer any and all basic training or army questions in general.

 

PS, maybe I scared a kid or two

    Nice story, Congradulations on getting the honor to travel and be a spokesperson for the Men and Women of the Army, but more importantly the Infantry! And you dont look mean in your DS hat when your standing still, its only when your walking. its intimidating. Good luck this weekend and on any future PR assignments. Congrats again DS Peffer.

    Hey Lee, thanks. Sounds like life is going well. You keep up with many guys from your class? I talked you guys up to the class after you, they were always asking if they did stuff better haha. Thanks for making me look good, and good luck at selection, keep your head in the game!

    This is a great way to represent the United States Army! Congratulations SSG Peffer! There is nothing more patriotic than an NHRA event and no better a soldier to represent the United States Army!
