Today was an interesting day. I didn't really know what to expect due to the lack of experience I've had with going to conventions. I picked up two VP's from the University of New Mexico and then we had a partnership luncheon. The venue was amazing and the seats we had, was front and center as we were one of the head table. Today was not bad by any means. For the most part, I just had to stand in front of the Army's booth set up at the LULAC convention and answer any questions that might be thrown my way. Unfortunately, the questions were few and far between. That's ok though, as tomorrow the event should be more lively as the younger aged teens and early adults should show up. So, got up with enough time to drop off the kiddo at daycare, and now it's a fun filled day of hurry up and wait. However, next week should be a bit more interesting as we have the LULAC convention coming to town. I'll be there blogging about all the interesting events they have planned throughout the day. Hopefully, all goes well.

About Me:
I commissioned in May, and I am currently awaiting my IOBC to start at Ft. Benning, GA. After completion I intend on attending Ranger School and Airborne School. When I finish all subsequent training, my first duty location will be at Ft. Bragg, NC. I love the physical and mental challenge of being a leader. The Army life style has been with me since I was born, as my father is an officer as well. The opportunities I have been given and the experiences I've had is all due to the many locations I've lived. These experiences wouldn't have been possible without being an Army brat. I want to allow my son to have a similar experience.
