On 19 August, I will begin my senior year as an MS IV cadet of Creighton University’s Army ROTC. This semester, I will be serving as a Squad Tactical Officer, responsible for mentoring and evaluating junior cadets serving as squad leaders. Our training will prepare them for Operation Warrior Forge 2011.

I am excited to take up this responsibility. I have had excellent training in ROTC and am looking forward to sharing my experience and guidance with the MS IIIs. I will look to MSG Whitehurst for support in this position.

On 19 Aug we will be trained in how to fulfill our duties at tactical officers, and the cadets in battalion staff positions will receive their training as well.

It’s an exciting time for us seniors, and we’re thrilled to receive our branch assignments in October!
