Army Strong Zone - All American Bowl (AAB)

January 6, 2011

Today the Drill Sergeant Exhibitor Team spent their day at the Army Strong Zone.  Everything from flight simulators, rock wall, medical equipment, weapons, you name it, it is here, right at Sunset Station.  My day started escorting McCullom HS JROTC around the Army Strong Zone showing them the different areas and what the Army has to offer.  Of course we had to show them the Drill Sergeant area:

DS Peffer introducing the contestants.

Explaining the rules.  Do as many push-ups as you can in one  minute.

DS Semsick keeping time.

And the winner.

The tour ended at the pavilion for a Q&A panel with some of the Army's finest heroes:

DS Robertson, DS Crutcher, and Cadet Tudor (#1 Cadet in the Nation from Morehead State)

The students asking questions.

I believe the question was do you like yelling?  DS Crutcher out to show and prove:

Nervous much!

I don't have to yell to get you to do something!

The Q&A panel was awesome.  The students asked some great questions followed with some great answers.  Every soldier has a unique story in their right, and I think that what they shared with the students, these heroes, their story, made it very appealing for them to hear.

I did not know how much was put into the All-American Bowl until now and I hope to see and awesome game on Saturday.
