SERGEANT FIRST CLASS MARK S. BOLIN II

Sergeant First Class Mark Bolin was born in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Grove City High School and is currently attending Troy University. Sergeant First Class Bolin entered the United State Army in September, 2001 as a Cannon Crew Member (13B). He completed Basic Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He reclassed to an Administration Specialist (42A) in 2005.
Sergeant First Class Bolin’s military education includes Basic Combat Training, Reclassification for Administration Specialist (42A), the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Noncommissioned Officer’s Course (BNCOC), Total Army Instructor Training Course, the Small Group Instructor Training Course, and the Army Recruiting Course.


Sergeant First Class Bolin’s assignments include the 3rd Brigade 3rd Infantry Division, 1st / 10th Field Artillery Battalion, Fort Benning, Georgia, 9th Battalion 100th Division CGSC, Columbus, Ohio, 171st Infantry Brigade, Task Force Marshall and Victory Support Battalion, Fort Jackson, South Carolina, a deployment to Kuwait during Operation Desert Spring, and a combat deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 3rd Brigade 3rd Infantry Division.


Sergeant First Class Bolin began his recruiting career in May 2009, and is in the Kings Mill Recruiting Company, Columbus Recruiting Battalion. He is assigned to the Chillicothe Recruiting Station as an USAR Recruiter Prospector. Sergeant First Class Bolin is awarded the Basic Recruiter Badge with two gold stars.


Sergeant First Class Bolin’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal (7th Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (4th Oak Leaf Cluster), Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Combat Action Badge and the Driver and Mechanic Badge (wheeled and tracked).
Sergeant First Class Bolin is single and has no children.
