Spring Break in China

March 24, 2010

As promised, I attached a few pictures from my trip to China on this post.  The first is of the Temple of Heavenly Peace in Beijing, a very popular tourist attraction.  The second is my view of the Great Wall after climbing up it for quite some time. The next picture is one of Cadet Tom Perkins participating in a Chinese Acrobatic Show (he was randomly selected from the audience to participate in this act).  The 4th picture is myself and two other cadets posing inside of the Stone Forest in Kunming China.  The last picture is a night time shot of an old village in China.

My favorite part of the trip had to be visiting the Great Wall.  The scenary was breathtaking and it was awesome to have been to one of the wonders of the world.  Aside from all of the awesome locations I got to visit, chilling with the natives was another highlight.  Speaking the language and getting to understand how people from a different culture think is an experience I will never forget.

Send me an e-mail if you have any questions about my trip or West Point.  If you are interested in learning more about West Point, visit http://admissions.usma.edu/

Thanks,

Matt Burke
