Was a extremely moving day today. I have been tasked out this week for funeral detail. Some how over my first 19 years in the Army I have never had to proceed over anything like it. It was one of the hardest and most rewarding things I can remember doing in my career. Passing the flag over to the grieving wife was very difficult and one of the hardest things I have ever done...but it was an also a rewarding for me to honor WWII veteran who paved the way for me...read more
