Its official!!! My class and I have now signed our oaths, and we now belong to the United States Army. This also brings with it the honor of carrying the title of First Lieutenant, as well as all of the serious and awesome responsibilities that accompany our position. It is now July 1st, and the real countdown has begun. As I sit here writing this entry, I am simultaneously forming my beret to my head as I was instructed to do by a good friend of mine and a recently commissioned Second Lieutenant with the US Army National Guard. About Me:
I was born and raised in Laguna Beach, CA. I attended Brown University where I earned my Bachelors in Classical Studies and was a Four-Time Academic All-American Water Polo player. After teaching High School for one year, I enrolled at the University of San Francisco School of Law where I devoted the majority of my studies to trial/oral advocacy and both the SF District Attorney's Office and the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California. After graduating, I took and passed the California Bar and I worked in a small insurance defense firm that specialized in SCUBA Diving litigation, before joining the Army. I consider myself to be highly competitive and overwhelmingly team oriented. I am loyal to a fault and I always finish what I begin. I chose the Army JAG Corp for the experience, not only in the law, but in life and I look forward to being a party of a team again and continuing my family's legacy of service in the Army.
