I am not a "blogger"...this is my first time on a site like this.  Why I am writing,..well, I just thought I needed to say a few words about the 400+ men and women that I have the privilege and honor of commanding everyday.  They are normal people from every state of the union and several Territories.  They are extraordinary for what they have signed up to do and I truly feel humbled to work with them daily.  They have mothers and fathers, wives and husbands, sisters and brothers, and children.  They work hard each day to provide for their families and defend our Constitution that we all hold so dear.  They are you and me and the neighbor next door.  They are a select few that have answered the call to duty. 

If you are thinking about serving,..it is a great way to live your life. I have been doing this for 18+ years and can't think of anything else that I would rather do.  Its not always easy, but I don't think I've had a day yet that I haven't felt good about what I am doing.  My two children and wife I think enjoy the Army more than I do sometimes.  It is a family of families where you truly feel like you are part of a team.  Take Care.
