Week 1 has been completely chaotic and busy.... Day 0: Flight to San Antonio, TX in my ACU uniform which draws tons of attention. I was able to fly first class on my flights and move straight through security lines. At the end of the flights I would always hear over the intercom "we would like to say thank you to our service members for serving our country." It is 3 a.m. and I am up anticipating my future. Nervous, scared, excited are all of the emotions that are swirling in my air. At 0430 a car service will be picking me up and taking me to LaGuardia Airport where my next stop will be Fort Sam Houston. It has been a long road and I can't believe the day is here.
