It is 3 a.m. and I am up anticipating my future.  Nervous, scared, excited are all of the emotions that are swirling in my air.  At 0430 a car service will be picking me up and taking me to LaGuardia Airport where my next stop will be Fort Sam Houston.  It has been a long road and I can't believe the day is here.  I will be putting on my crisp ACU's and headed towards the unknown.  It is crazy that my biggest worry is how I'm going to maneuver through the airport with my 20 bags.  Just kidding I only have 4....ha!  

The schedule for the day is to arrive at airport and cab it to Fort Sam and then begin in-processing.  In-processing today will consist of weigh-in, roommate assignment, and being transported to the hotel off-base.  Due to the overcrowding of the base this summer my class will be staying at the Holiday Inn near the airport.  To be honest I think it's a sweet deal and not so bad, but I guess we will see.

As the minutes pass my anxiety is growing, but I will stay focused and positive.  The crazy thing is that if you knew me the last thing you would ever suspect is my interest in the military.  I am the type that hates the outdoors, heat, and BUGS!! I hate bugs, but I am determined to step out of my comfort zone and accomplish the task at hand.  I am branching away from family and friends to become a stronger individual.  I just hope this brilliant plan of mines to join the military isn't completely  absurd.  I guess we will all see together!
