DAY 18/400 DAYS of ACTIVE DUTY
June 19, 2011
Here at MOB station almost 2300 HRS and thinking to myself if this is actually happening the training excersises are like those of any other training facility. the distance isnt an issue yet, but i can see the effects it has on the family back home.before i left friends would ask what i thought of this if i was nervous, scared, excited what was running through my mind. to be be completly honest I have mixed emotions about the deployment but I know that what myself and everyone on the team is getting ready to do are all most likely having the same feelings. this being my first deployment im keeping an open mind, it could go either good or bad but physically im ready mentally im preparing myself for a rough year of adversity and success. i have a good team leader and im confident in his abilities and i hope he's confident in mine. were here coming up on our ten years since 9-11 and its an honor and im proud to be able to say that were going for our families and for our friends here at home to keep any repeats from happening again. im proud to say im a US Soldier.
