About Me: My name is SGT Sherri Jo Gallagher. I currently work for the Army Marksmanship Unit in Fort Benning, Ga. My job title is instructor/shooter. Our mission is to support and instruct the warfighter in marksmanship, support accessions brigade, and conduct research and development on the marksmanship level. As an instructor, we teach SDM's and train the trainer courses to soldiers to help build confidence, proficiency and ability with their given weapon systems. As a shooter, we compete on the national level in highpower competitions to help support the USAMU mission.
I am 26 years old and have been in the Army for almost 3 years. I am currently competiting in the DA soldier of the year competitions. I love being in the Army and plan on making a career out of it, all the while strengthening my skills as a competitor, leader, and as an instructor.
