Trying to find, much less remembering all the possible sources of reliable PTSD and combat stress materials can be overwhelming. The NCPTSD remains one of the best. The November on-line bulletin contains excellent coverage on the impact of chromic combat related stress on our growing aged population. Long term impact on combat experience and PTSD on career and quality of life years later

Following 2 tours in RVN, another on the DMZ of ROK, it is now clear that those experiences created anger, and other factors of PTSD which had a significent impact on my overall career and family life. About Me: * Served from 1966-1992 in tours in RVN, ROK and retiring following first Gulf War. Served in Inf, MI, and SF units during that time.
* After 1st retirement, went back to school for masters in clinical psychology with specialties in mental health, substance and combat stress/PTSD.
* Clinical counselor at Madigan Army Medical Center, Ft Lews, 2002 - 2008.
* 1994 - present; veterans advocate in Washington State with various organizations.
* Now fully occupied in promoting the all volunteer concept of PTSD Anonymous.org proposing the creation of peers focused and run self-care groups across the nation for current returnees, their spouses/partners and veterans of all eras impacted by combat related stress and/or PTSD.
Groups are not counseling, therapy, or medical treatment. PTSDA is a resource for those wanting to talk about what is currently affecting their quality of life.
