I, as a 2LT served at the DECA conference at the Orange County Convention Center this past spring. I was assigned to the Army Education booth as the Cadet Command represenative and found the experience to be very enriching. I aided plenty of high-schoolers (Freshman, Sophmores, Juniors and Seniors) in their quest for further information on the ROTC application proccess.

I thought it was plenty of fun, honestly. There were plenty of kids that came up and asked me what I was even doing there...and whether or not I ejoyed being in the Army. I answered back saying that this was what I've always wanted to do. I love my job right now and could go on doing it forever. I handed out plenty of goodies and gifts and even made a friend or two in some of the kids I talked to.
