    Our second day in South Korea, we went on a tour of the DMZ on the border of North and South Korea. On the bus ride from Seoul to the DMZ, an acquaintance of our OIC's Korean friend gave acted as our tour guide. Seoul is only about 30 miles from the DMZ and our tour guide pointed out that several overpasses covered with billboards where actually giant slabs of concrete that could be dropped on the highway to restricted the highway as a mounted avenue of approach into Seoul.   • CULP Korea Homestay

    Part of our CULP mission entailed interacting with cadets in various ROTC programs in Seoul. The cadets came to our hotel in the morning and we went straight to a bowling alley to break the ice. I had a blast playing on a team with one other US cadet and our respective Korean homestay cadets. After two games of bowling, we broke off into groups and let our Korean cadets take us where they wanted. I was with two US cadets and we each had a Korean cadet.   • CULP Korea ROK ROTC training

    During our CULP mission in South Korea, we spent a day and a half observing summer training that every ROK ROTC cadet must complete the summer before their senior year of training. When we arrived, we were greeted by a ROK Major General. We were led inside the headquarters building and watched a presentation about ROK ROTC and then our OIC gave a presentation about USA ROTC.
