On 7 June 2010, Chief Warrant Officer Frederick Ellwein became the 4th Commander of The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. Chief Warrant Officer Gregory Balvanz, the fife and drum corps out-going Commander, relinquished command to an audience of friends, family and members of the military community. Starting April 16, 2010 and lasting through April 25, 2010, The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps will head south to Texas for their annual trip to San Antonio Fiesta.
