About Me: My name is 1SG Scottie J. LeBlanc and I am currently serving as the New Orleans Recruiting Company First Sergeant. I'm originally from Houma, LA and enlisted in to the Army in 1993 as a Signal Supports Systems Specialist (25U) with the Airborne Option and the Army College Fund. My first duty assignment was to the 3/319th AFAR at Fort Bragg, NC where I served as a battalion communications specialist. I originally enlisted with the plan to serve 4 years and get out, but after being in I came to love the Army and the man that it had helped me become. I reenlisted and went to my next assignment which was as a Communications NCO at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Ft. Polk. While at Ft. Polk I volunteered for recruiting duty and with the exception of volunteer tour to Iraq, I have been in recruiting since 1999.
